Location: Garland, TX
Fortress Building Products is seeking a qualified Intern to join our Innovations team. Our Innovations department is responsible for the research and development of new products and working with the manufacturers to ensure a high quality of products. The Innovations team is seeking an Intern to assist in various drawing and design tasks.
This Intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist in the standardization of product drawings.
- Participate in new product design brainstorms.
- Develop documentation of departmental processes.
- Work with The Fortress Project Data Management system to create drawings and engineering documents.
- Special projects as required.

- Dallas-based undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- SolidWorks proficiency required
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week in Garland office
