Job Title: Field Engineer

Position Type: Full Time, Hourly Employee

Location: Remote 50% and Traveling 50% (domestic and outside of the country)

Schedule: This position is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off schedule. The candidate is expected to travel for about 2 weeks every month to perform routine maintenance of all our sites. In those two weeks, the candidate will have attained (or close to attaining) full time hours, and then have 2 weeks off before the next assignment. 
 
Credentials: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree 
 
Citizenship: United States citizenship required. 
 
Security Clearance: All new hires will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US citizenship is required for clearance. 
 
Job Description: 
ExoAnalytic Solutions is looking for an exceptionally talented Field Engineer Technician interested in maintenance of the ExoAnalytic Global Telescope Network (EGTN).  Assignment includes 50% travel to observatories to complete maintenance and analysis on-site.  

The Field Engineer Technician candidate will have experience with the following: 

• Installing, servicing, and performing complex on-site repairs of telescope and computer equipment 
• Operating independently under directions and guidelines without direct supervisor contact
• Troubleshooting of equipment 
• Troubleshooting software-related issues 
• Preforming general structural maintenance
• Performing inventory checks 
• Debugging within Windows/DOS and Linux environments

• U.S. Citizenship and valid U.S. Passport 
• Ability to work in the field approximately 50% of the time at various observatory locations. 
• Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and perform hands-on tasks requiring the use of power tools.  
• Quick learning ability
• Proficiency in reading and understanding diagrams 
• Familiarity with engineering principles 
• Excellent organizational skills 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Effective communication skills 
• Proficient in reading and mathematical skills 
• Proven problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
• High attention to detail 
• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Proficiency in speaking a foreign language

Hourly Rate: $25/ hour - $29/hour depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn overtime on travel assignments.
