Client Information: 

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) focus on high impact prevention of HIV—by preventing new HIV infections, improving health outcomes for persons with HIV, and reducing HIV related disparities and health inequities.   

DHP develops and maintains a variety of data and information systems to support its mission, including systems to collect, transmit, store, and analyze data for HIV/AIDS surveillance, epidemiology, and program monitoring and evaluation. We are looking for IT and public health partners including statisticians, researchers, behavioral scientists, computer scientists, public health advisors/analysts, budget analysts, and other program staff. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and discussions to ensure effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders. 
  • Design and implement facilitation processes that help teams identify problems, formulate solutions, and achieve consensus. 
  • Assist in the planning and execution of stakeholder engagement sessions, ensuring that all relevant voices are heard and integrated into project planning and implementation. 
  • Prepare and manage the documentation of meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions. 
  • Monitor the progress of projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with goals and objectives, providing regular feedback and adjustments as needed. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Communication, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a facilitator role, preferably within IT or public health projects. 
  • Proven ability to manage group dynamics, build team cohesion, and facilitate constructive discussions. 
  • Experience in conflict resolution and building consensus among diverse stakeholder groups. 

Preferred: 

  • Background in public health, particularly in facilitating projects or initiatives within government agencies or non-profits. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment. 
  • Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF) or similar certification. 
  • Training in conflict resolution or negotiation.
