OVERVIEW

As the Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk, you will assist with the monitoring and maintenance of inventory levels. You will be instrumental in conducting cycle counts, investigating shortages and discrepancies, and assisting with inventory space utilization plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all inventories by performing daily audits and maintaining a comprehensive cycle count program.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through daily and monthly cycle counts and annual year-end physical inventories
  • Own the entire life cycle of damaged, misplaced, or missing products from the time of detection to the resolution of the issue.
  • Collect bad status items, ticket the items, and then release the items back into the inventory once resolved.
  • Track and report daily to upper management building capacity, building utilization, inventory accuracy, and cycle count progress.
  • Communicate all discrepancies and quality issues with the Warehouse Manager
  • Use Warehouse Management Software and Excel to sort through cycle count data.
  • Operate  warehouse equipment ( forklift, etc) 
  • Additional job duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and work with Warehouse Manager to ensure that warehouse facility is in compliance with all health and safety regulations specified by the Department of Labor and the State of Texas.
  • Assisting when necessary with general warehouse operations.

Education/Experience/Additional Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience
  • 2+ years of Inventory Control experience
  • Knowledge of distribution operations including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, replenishment, shipping, and inventory control practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Able to perform basic math equations
  • Self-motivated, in need of minimal supervision
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team player, eager to be cross-trained
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership attributes to manage the day-to-day activities and implement long range goals
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, operate a pallet jack and fork truck preferred

This job operates in a warehouse environment. Some of the work may require usage of required personal protective equipment including steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.
