Well House provides safe, affordable, permanent, low-cost housing for people experiencing homelessness. We recognize each individual has their own unique needs and challenges, and that a “one size fits all” approach is often a barrier to housing.

 

We are seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes and infrastructure balanced with the promotional outreach that will allow Well House to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. This multi-faceted position will play a key internal role in operations, administration, and financial management, as well as an external focus on volunteer and event management. The position will report to the Executive Director of Well House.

 

General Responsibilities

 

Financial Management & Oversight – working with staff to manage and oversee all financial and business planning activities

  • Oversee business policies and accounting practices
  • Oversee reporting and monitoring of organizational performance metrics
  • Ensure all relevant financial data is presented to the Executive Director
  • Manage the human resource function for Well House
  • Recruitment, hiring, benefits administration, and compensation
  • Professional training and development of staff
  • Regulatory oversight and legal compliance
  • Oversee risk management and legal activities
  • Business insurance: procurement, monitoring, and management
  • Information technology management

 

Volunteer Development – oversee, maintain, and build volunteer program

  • Form partnerships with civic, corporate, and individual volunteer opportunities
  • Promote Well House’s mission in various public speaking engagements

 

Social Media & Marketing – maintain and provide content for all social media platforms

  • Assist with the development of all promotional campaigns, newsletter, and reports
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to promote, manage and execute special events and oversee volunteer event committees

 

Professional Experience & Educational Requirements

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in non-profit administration
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to empathize with, be sensitive to, and interact positively and appropriately with constituents from widely divergent socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
  • Demonstrated personal values and professional commitment supporting the mission of Well House
