      <description><![CDATA[POSITION SUMMARY:  


The Welcome Home Delivery Specialist supports Safe Haven's Welcome Home Program by safely transporting and delivering donated furniture and household items that help families transition into permanent housing. This position plays an important role in creating welcoming, fully furnished homes by ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and with care. 


The Welcome Home Delivery Specialist operates the agency box truck, assists with loading and unloading donated items, collaborates with volunteers during delivery days, and helps maintain the agency vehicle and delivery records. This position serves as a positive ambassador for Safe Haven while interacting with volunteers, donors, community partners, and, when applicable, clients.
Moves happen on Thursdays and/or Fridays. This position is approx 4-10 hours per week. 
 


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


 




Safely operate the agency box truck to transport donated furniture, household goods, and Welcome Home items to designated locations. 






Assist with loading, unloading, securing, and transporting furniture and donated items while following proper lifting and safety procedures. 






Support volunteers during Welcome Home deliveries and apartment setup activities. 






Assist with staging apartments by placing furniture and household items in designated locations as directed. 






Ensure deliveries are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. 






Conduct basic pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or damage. 






Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and fuel level of the agency box truck. 






Complete delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation accurately and on time. 






Assist with organizing, moving, or transporting donated furniture and supplies as needed. 






Ensure donated items are handled with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and delivery. 






Follow all agency safety procedures and traffic laws while operating agency vehicles. 






Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with volunteers, donors, community partners, and clients when applicable. 






Represent Safe Haven's mission and values positively within the community. 








Perform other duties as assigned to support the Welcome Home Program and agency operations. 




 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 


Education & Experience 




High school diploma or GED preferred. 






Previous experience driving a box truck, cargo van, or other commercial-sized vehicle preferred. 






Experience with deliveries, moving, warehouse operations, or logistics is preferred but not required. 




License & Certifications 




Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. 






Must successfully pass a background check. 






Must be insurable under Safe Haven's vehicle insurance policy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT 




Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs as needed during deliveries. 






Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance. 






Ability to load, unload, and move furniture and household items using proper lifting techniques. 






Ability to enter and exit a box truck multiple times during deliveries. 






Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. 




Working Conditions 




Primarily works on Thursdays and/or Fridays for approximately 4-10 hours each week. 






Frequent travel within or surrounding the Middle Tennessee area using an agency vehicle. 






Moderate physical activity involving deliveries, loading/unloading, and apartment setup. 






Occasional interaction with clients, volunteers, donors, and community partners.

      <description><![CDATA[ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurately prepare grant drawdown packets for all federal grants according to funder guidelines according to agency grants calendar. Ensure expenses submitted for reimbursement are allowable, properly documented and compliant with grant requirements.
Cut manual checks. Coordinate mailings including weekly check runs with Third Party Accounting Company. Track all financial assistance in Salesforce and prepare expenses for grant reimbursements.
Review periodically and develop new financial processes, procedures, and internal controls where appropriate. Monitor for compliance.
Develop annual budget using Martus software. Manage annual budget upload for Intacct. Conduct monthly budget analyses, monitor budget-to-actual performance, prepare financial forecasts/reforecasts and provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support organizational decision-making. 
Monitor monthly grant and agency budgets to ensure finances are on track.
Create, edit and review Standard Operating Procedures for financial tasks.
Lead monthly and annual reconciliation processes for all agency expenses, revenues, and credit card transactions, ensuring they are properly coded and grant expenses submitted for reimbursement and monthly financials submissions.
Lead annual audit, including gathering documents and ensuring all audit submissions are fully compliant with federal grant guidelines, including Form-990 Prep. Act as main point of contact with audit company.
Use accounting software to research financial transactions as needed.
Generate financial reports and data reports from Salesforce/Intacct and reconcile both platforms to each other on a monthly basis.
Monitor employee time tracking to ensure timecard records are complete and approved by payroll deadlines.
Actively participates in Board of Director finance calls, in partnership with COO. 
Serve as backup to other members of the Operations Team. 
Provide onboarding and ongoing training to staff related to expense management systems and processes.
Monitor daily cash positions, oversee bank and credit card accounts and optimize liquidity to meet operational needs. 
Collaborate with Development Team on optimizing donation deposits and record keeping. 
Maintain banking relationships including directing the bill payment process, manage vendor relationships and optimize the accounts payable workflow for accuracy and efficiencey. Serve andthe primary liasion with banking partners. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree strongly preferred, preferably in a finance-related field (accounting, finance, MBA, CPA or Nonprofit Management)
Excellent computer skills, including financial software, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Excel
Excellent mathematical and analysis skills
Skillful financial and budgetary analysis
A self-starter with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple demands; grant organization skills
Strong attention to detail
Non-profit experience preferred

The Youth Program Specialist (Early Childhood) oversees a full spectrum of supportive programs and services for children and families experiencing homelessness. This job includes managing all components of the Early Learner&rsquo;s program by demonstrating excellent care and a trauma-informed approach, providing stabilizing support and enrichment programming for children birth to age five, successfully coordinating childcare resources for families, and utilizing strong collaboration skills to advocate and connect clients to internal and external resources.
 
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
&middot;         Interact with children and families according to a trauma-informed care framework.  
&middot;         Create, support, and evaluate learning opportunities for parents and caregivers.
&middot;         Proactively engage children and their parents to plan, implement, monitor and adapt individualized services that promote stability, provide developmental support, and advance children&rsquo;s wellbeing.
&middot;         Increase family access to books and literacy programs.
&middot;         Utilize meaningful assessments and questioning to identify children&rsquo;s developmental needs.
&middot;         Provide staff trainings to strengthen services and family support.
&middot;         Input all required documentation in a timely manner, which may include enrollments, client follow up, outcome evaluation, progress notes, and goals.
&middot;         Collaborate with the Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) for educational support for families enrolling in Pre-K and Kindergarten.
&middot;         Coordinate childcare resources for families.
&middot;         Organize and facilitate utilization of and access to Bright Spaces.
&middot;         Continually create and strengthen strategic partnerships with community resources.
&middot;         Connect families with community resources and assist families in accessing needed services.
&middot;         Communicate volunteer needs to Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager; assist in training/leading volunteers working with children.
&middot;         Utilize children&rsquo;s programming volunteers to implement quality youth enrichment programming.
&middot;         Maintain a strong sense of and respect for confidentiality involving both clients and fellow employees.
&middot;         Collaborate closely with Youth Program staff and the Program Team to promote excellent care for all children and their adults.
&middot;         Participate in the day-to-day operations of the Youth Program in its entirety.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES:
&middot;         Minimum of a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a related field (e.g. Early Childhood Education, Family and Childhood Studies, Social Work)
&middot;         Two years&rsquo; experience working with children and vulnerable families.
&middot;         Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
&middot;         Detail oriented.
&middot;         Possession of a valid driver&rsquo;s license.
&middot;         Proficient in Internet use and Microsoft Office products.
&middot;         Knowledge of trauma informed care (or a willingness to learn and adapt to this best practice).
&middot;         Ability to handle multiple demands from various entities.
