Plant Director
We are working on a high-level Plant Director role in western Kansas with a nationwide food manufacturer. This role will coordinate with plant management and work as a liaison with corporate with all wide functioning departments. The Plant Director offers large growth opportunities within the national organization.
Job Responsibilities:- Manage the health, safety and well-being of team member. Promote employee participation in activities managing EHS through identification and mitigation of hazards. Ensure timely reporting and investigation of EHS events
- Verify manufacturing team is staffed appropriately to meet business requirements
- Mentor, train, and coach facility leadership team members to understand the organization and their roles and way for them to develop into another role
- Demonstrate leadership through participation in core leadership processes such as development of employee onboarding, succession planning and horizon planning
- Deeply root an atmosphere of collaboration across ingredient solutions manufacturing and shared service business partners that is characterized by inclusion, precision, learning and purpose
- Lead the establishment of KPIs to measure performance of the division and manufacturing facilities
- Facilitate communication between our customers and our plants to assure we are properly implementing customer requests, response to complaints and providing excellent customer service
- Verify facility operations comply with company policies, customer expectations and regulatory requirements
- Cultivate an innovative, data driven, team-oriented culture that embraces continuous improvement within an environment of learning
- Support leaders focused on optimizing the use of business integration systems to drive productivity through defining business integration requirements, managing organizational transformation and coordinating end-user utilization for company business systems
- Lead effective stakeholder collaboration to standardize common functions in areas of quality, safety, maintenance, sustainability, environmental, SAP, SQF, HACCP, auditing, and abatement activities
- Enable team members focused on increasing productivity through the application of a standardized continuous improvement program
- Empower teams to improve equipment reliability using TPM, Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure effective capital and expense project management process
Required Skills/Qualifications:- 7-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing management is required
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing is required
- Bachelor’s Degree is required due to growth possibilities
- Excellent team building skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to interact in a positive and professional way with all organizational personnel and their customers
- Ability to provide leadership and management or various systems, projects and priorities while embracing company values

- Strong insight into the organizational structure and stakeholder needs
