A Day in the Life of a Claims Specialist 

• Communicate (mostly via phone, but also by email, fax and payer portals) with insurance payers to ensure claims made it on file and/or get additional information on why claims are not on file or got rejected
• Submit claims as necessary to ensure claim gets on file to payer
• Respond timely and accurately to payer communications
• Maintain current patient account information at all times

Requirements for the Claims Specialist position

• Self-motivated  and results driven
• Critical thinking skills along with learning agility
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with teammates and leaders
• Previous claims or insurance experience is a plus
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
