OVERVIEW OF POSITION: The Product Sales and Engagement Manager is responsible for the implementation of the Council’s two largest girl-led fundraising campaigns. The candidate will exhibit leadership and experience in change management principles that influence volunteer and girl member engagement. Oversee the full operational aspects of an annual 10MM program. Supervises a small team of specialists and ensures efficient collaboration across departments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management  

  • Responsible for multi-million-dollar Cookie and Fall Product Program budget.  

  • Develop and administer annual operating budgets for the product program department while monitoring expenses.  

  • Use vendor tools to set product program sales goals, expenses, and critical KPIs.  

  • Monitor troop ACH processing for both Cookie and Fall Product Programs.  

 

Inventory Management  

  • Monitor daily sales transactions, process orders, initiate agent transfers, and record all transactions.  

  • Assess inventory needs (supply vs. demand)  

  • Determine restock quantities and make recommendations to senior level staff.  

  • Conduct end of sale consolidation.  

 

Strategic Planning  

  • Develop and implement strategic plans with various metrics and benchmarks to engage girls and adult volunteers via the reward structure.  

  • Operationalize new cookie program initiatives to support council strategic goals.  

  • Identify and engage girls and volunteers to participate in product program activities.  

  • Collaborate with Girl Scout volunteers and vendors to ensure the efficient delivery of the program, supplies, rewards, and products.  

  • Identify personnel or volunteer gaps that could negatively impact results and solicit support to mitigate challenges.  

  • Use volunteer feedback to provide a quality program experience for all stakeholders.  

 

Volunteer Training  

  • Develop training guides and tools for girls, guardians, volunteers, and staff.  

  • Develop and deliver staff-led training to council and volunteer stakeholders.  

 

Marketing Plan Implementation  

  • Collaborate with the marketing department to create an overall marketing strategy plan and timeline.  

  • Review and update content for council digital and print materials, reflecting key changes, brand guidelines and current messaging.  

  • Develop and execute fun initiatives that motivate and equip stakeholders—including girls, parents, and troop leaders— to participate in product program activities. Auditing  

  • Identify all product program funds owed to the council.  

  • Analyze the integrity of entries made in vendor accounting systems.  

  • Ensure vendor accounting systems reconcile with council receivables.  

  • Inform finance department and leadership team of all delinquencies and overpayments.  

  • Work interdepartmentally to manage the communication process for delinquent accounts. 

 

Team Management and Leadership  

  • Hire, coach, and manage staff to ensure optimal performance. Activities include goal setting, assessment, and development.  

  • Provide guidance to the team based on management, directives and organizational vision. 

  • Encourage and motivate team performance.  

  • Coordinate activities of staff to ensure work is properly allocated and expectations are met. 

 

Education, Experience, and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.  

  • 4+ years of professional experience.  

  • Technical computer skills in Microsoft Office for documents, spreadsheets and presentations, customer relationship management systems, and social networking.  

  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies with the ability to understand basic data quality principles and practices.  

 

Additional Requirements 

  • Valid New Jersey vehicle license, vehicle in working condition, proof of insurance, or the ability to fulfill timely and extensive travel requirements across council geography  

  • Ability to lift, carry and transport at least 35 pounds.  

  • Availability to work flexible schedule including frequent evenings and weekends. 

 

Compensation 

  • Full Time Exempt Position.  

  • Salary Range: $62,000 - $70,000

Pay Range
$62,000.00   Annually to $70,000.00   Annually
