The Role
The Structural Engineer plays a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge Solar, Battery and High Voltage projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering design while contributing to sustainable energy solutions. Working alongside experienced professionals, the selected candidate will be involved in creating and refining construction plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the advancement of innovative energy projects.

Your Day-to-Day

• Participate in the structural design of solar and high voltage projects
• Produce civil and structural design documentation, including drawings and calculations
• Assist project managers by resolving technical issues relating to structural loading
• Utilize CAD and Civil 3D to produce engineered construction plans and sheet set ups, including plan views, sections, elevations, and details
• Evaluate design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges
• Adhere to project schedules and allocated hours set by project managers and technical leads.
• Work effectively independently and as a team player
• Ensure compliance with internal and/or client procedures and standards
• Identify and resolve technical issues with attention to detail and analytical skills

What You Bring

• Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
• Understanding: the basics of site grading and storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater best management practices.
• Demonstrated Experience in: structural design, including dead, live, snow, wind, and seismic loads, as well as steel structure design and foundations. Strong knowledge of international engineering standards, codes, and other applicable state and federal guidelines, including but not limited to IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, and ACI.
• Education: B.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an accredited institution or equivalent degree
• Languages: Spanish and Advanced English.
• Software Proficiencies: Advanced CAD, Civil 3D, SolidWorks weldment profile tools, Google Earth, Microsoft Suite, Robot Structural, L-Pile, STADD Pro.
• Additional Skills:

·       Interest in sustainability and solar energy. Ability to engage in multiple projects to complete successful requirement deliveries

·       Effective communication and customer service skills.
