The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with approximately 5 years of experience in design and documentation for renewable energy projects. This role involves supporting the design, development, and documentation of systems for high-voltage, solar energy, transmission lines, substations, and other related infrastructure. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in design tools, and capable of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

 

Your Day-to-Day

  • Create and modify 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD and BIM software, ensuring adherence to client-specific drawing standards.
  • Prepare, review, and adjust design documents and layouts using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard applications
  • Perform technical data analysis and support basic engineering calculations in line with project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and specific client requirements across all design deliverables.
  • Communicate directly with design and engineering supervisors to define and interpret project scopes and execute detailed instructions.
  • Learn, manage, and implement specialized software related to electrical and systems design.
  • Contribute to the development of electrical diagrams for substations, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • Support the preparation of technical studies and system models based on project-specific needs.
  • Coordinate and supervise engineering tasks within multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment across disciplines.
  • Ensure adherence to quality requirements and collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain project standards.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in engineering or infrastructure design projects.
  • Education: Degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Languages: Spanish and Advanced English is preferred.
  • Technical Software Proficiency: In CAD/BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D, with a solid understanding of scale management and industry standards. Familiarity with advanced BIM tools and industry-specific software such as PVCase, OpenUtilities, MicroStation, or similar platforms.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Renewable Energy Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with renewable energy systems, particularly photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS), is highly desirable
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
