Job Summary
The Barista is responsible for processing transactions, preparing food items, expediting and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness of tables and the establishment, brewing coffee, tea, and various specialty beverages, all while delivering exemplary customer service.

- Extend a courteous and positive greeting to guests while taking their beverage orders.
- Familiarize oneself with customers' names and preferences and maintain a positive outlook towards others.
- Identify items along with their corresponding costs, and efficiently tabulate bills utilizing a cash register, calculator, or other pricing equipment.
- Accurately issue receipts, refunds, credits, or any change owed to customers.
- Submit the cash drawer and perform sales reconciliation at the conclusion of each shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; restock and manage supplies as necessary.
- Remain vigilant regarding safety concerns and report any issues immediately to your manager.

- Take pride in cultivating expertise in the art of culinary preparation and crafting high-quality handcrafted beverages.
- Prepare beverages according to established recipes.
- Cook food items upon request while ensuring a timely presentation and serve them promptly to the customer.
- It is essential to possess a thorough understanding of the store's recipes to effectively assist customers with food allergies.

- A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service within the food and beverage industry is required.
- Contribute positively to the team's success while supporting colleagues in achieving their best performance.
- Regularly solicit feedback regarding areas for improvement.
- Communicate pertinent information promptly to both management and team members.
- Cultivate an environment characterized by warmth and inclusivity where all individuals feel welcomed.
- Coffee equipment, including grinders, brewers, espresso machines, and other related devices.
- Touch-screen computer or point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Credit card processing machine.
- Engaging in ambulation to fulfill responsibilities, particularly involving frequent transitions from one location to another within the unit. This includes the necessity to bend, lift, carry, and extend arms and hands above shoulder height on a regular basis, or otherwise navigate within a continuously evolving environment.
- The capacity to lift, carry, and push weights of up to 25 pounds regularly, 30-35 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- The ability to maintain a standing position for the entirety of the workday.
- 1-3 years of food and beverage customer service facing experience
- Comprehensive understanding of point of sale systems, coffee equipment, and food preparation
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Requires the ability to lift and or move up to 50lbs
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Effective oral and interpersonal skills

Assist customers navigate the store as they order and experience Puro Gusto through multiple channels including: Mobile Order, Delivery, Dine-In, Grab and Go, or Self-Checkout
Craft true Italian food and beverage items, made fresh daily, in accordance with recipe builds as outlined in the operations manuals
Work on multiple positions and perform various job functions in the store during each shift
Participation in ongoing training, development, and learning
Comply with store operations standards and policies and follow all cash handling protocols and food safety standards
Maintain a clean environment and perform any necessary cleaning tasks in the store
Consistently arrive on time to work
Ability to work flexible hours that may include weekends, early mornings, late nights, and/or holidays
