Many firms talk about these qualities being present in their environment - and even worse - do it with a straight face! At Benaiah Consulting Group we are committed to ONLY PARTNERING WITH FIRMS WHO HAVE PROVEN THAT'S WHO THEY ARE!! Don't take our word for it, see what others are saying by going to

Whether you are actively seeking a new career opportunity, or just considering your options, we are committed to working WITH YOU & FOR YOU. Unlike many recruiters in today's market that are strictly focused on hitting their weekly numbers, our business has been built on doing what's right for our clients - both candidates and hiring managers.

We have recently partnered with one of North Texas' fastest-growing and recognized/awarded Public Accounting firms. Our client has been recognized as a Best Place to Work for four of the last six years. Our client has also built a reputation as a firm that is committed to a "second to none" work/life balanced environment. With a mindset that embodies philosophies like:

  • Flex hours during non-busy season
  • Work-from-home options
  • An environment that is results-focused vs. measuring every hour your sitting at the office
  • Five weeks PTO
  • OT cap weekly to ensure you're out of the office at a DECENT HOUR at home with your family; and
  • A leadership team that understands a well-balanced employee is a more productive employee

Our client is one of North Texas' Top Rated LOCAL PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRMS that has been recognized for its "Exceptional Customer Service, Unparalleled Core Values and Family-Friendly Culture." Our client has an impending retirement in their tax leadership and therefore is seeking a Tax Partner. Our client is seeking a practitioner that is a hands-on leader and business builder who possibly fits one of the following categories:

  • Prospective Partner with prior large firm/national/Big 4 experience who left the "rat race" recently to set up your own firm and have now realized that being a Lone Wolf is not necessarily what it's cracked up to be
  • Small practice owner that enjoys the business-building aspects of running a firm; enjoys the client interaction; enjoys the staff/team development, but hates the "in-the-weeds" tasks of managing a firm or juggling to find the resources to deliver for clients and would love an opportunity to join an established firm in the RIGHT situation; OR
  • Manager/Leader with another local or regional firm that is seeking an opportunity to step into an equity position sooner vs. later without the layers of personnel - or the political road that must be navigated - to make that happen

Our client's ideal candidate will possess

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA designation
  • Our client will consider JD/LLM with applicable experience
  • 10+ years overall tax experience in a Big 4, Regional or Local public accounting firm
  • 5+ years overall experience in management, leadership, mentoring and staff development capacity
  • Solid exposure handling tax compliance, planning and consulting in the areas of Corporate (S-Corp and some C-Corp), Partnership, Trust, Estate, High Net Worth Individual, Not-for-Profit and some general 1040 individual work
  • You must come from an environment where small businesses and individuals are the primary customer base. A large corporate tax candidate dealing with high-level ASC 740, planning, provisioning expertise will not work in this role

Our client is also seeking:

  • Strategic thinker, but not so far above the "grind" that you don't know how to roll your sleeves up and lead by example as needed (servant leader)
  • Ability to sit and have a conversation with clients to grasp their overall business/operational/financial needs, desires, shortfalls and assess where you can bring value to the table
  • Value-minded vs. commodity-minded business leader
  • Mentor, developer, trainer - someone that can work with staff to assist/train/develop in areas of deficiencies, etc
  • Quantifiable track record of success building business (not just selling, but delivering successful outcomes)
  • A team-oriented leader that will lead the charge up the hill with your team in tow
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing

In this role, our client is seeking a leader whose responsibilities will include:

  • An active part of the senior leadership team
  • Focusing on both the tactical, day to day activities of the tax department as well as the overall firm's strategic direction, vision and ultimate implementation of that plan
  • A big-picture thinker who is continuously seeking opportunities for the firm's development of new business, while also focusing on the current client service offerings to ensure alignment with the overall value proposition of the firm
  • Stay up to date on current tax laws, trends to ensure there is constant value being delivered to current and future clients

Our client is seeking someone that will be a difference-maker in their business through their technical knowledge, their teaching/mentoring abilities, their business-building acumen, and their exceptional work ethic.

If you are currently in a position looking toward another Tax Season and don't want to face another deadline alone, then contact John Randolph our Managing Partner for a No-Obligation, Confidential discussion to see if there may be some potential overlap in your wish list and our client's desires
