OFR is looking for an experienced Trucking Manager that will oversee freight schedules, compliance with all safety rules and regulations, direct all revenue driven activities, and align with our core value of “For the Greater good” to join our team! Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead, manage, and hold team accountable
  • Direct all activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles
  • Create and implement strategies for business growth in support of OFR’s long-term goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients
  • Monitor operations, ensure compliance of internal and external policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership, training and coaching to team members
  • Manage all internal and external customer complaints or inquiries in a timely manner
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with customers
  • Ensure that new or modified schedule of rates are up to date
  • Communicate all changes to schedule of rates to applicable parties: dispatch; accounting
  • Analyze operational efficiencies to improve any internal processes
  • Supervise the accurate completion of all documentation and billing and manage freight costs
  • Manage the operational budget, review payroll, and monitor the financial health of the department
 
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Five (5) years’ experience in operating freight equipment and supervising staff.
  • Knowledgeable in transportation principles and methods, and relative costs and benefits
  • Experience in fleet management preferred
  • Ability to manage and train staff, and resolve issues
  • Excellent customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Must have a valid driver’s license (Class A preferred) and be an insurable driver
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time.
