This position will work closely with a growing senior living community in Greenville, South Carolina.  This is a brand new community in the area.  The new Concierge will be hired in October or November 2022, and will grow the community in the following months for their new senior residents.  See details below to find out more about this exciting opportunity! 


Summary:  The Concierge is responsible greeting guests, residents, and employees, managing both external and internal calls, taking and communicating messages and providing information of a general nature, and positive resident relations of leased residential senior properties, while providing excellent resident relations of The Aspens Verdae.

Part time position with the following days and hours: Thursdays 8:30am to 5:30pm, Fridays 8:30am to 5:30pm, Saturdays 10am to 5pm, and Sundays 1pm to 5pm

Range of pay: $14 to $16 per hour DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Carries out telephone answering and reception duties as required

  2. Takes complete messages with pertinent information and communicates messages to the intended recipient

  3. Greets residents and visitors. Answers inquiries and gives directions

  4. Maintains and keeps desk and entry area neat and organized

  5. Organizes, distributes notices to residents, Executive Director and Department Coordinators

  6. Light housekeeping responsibilities in common areas and guest restrooms

  7. Dedicated to meeting company standards and goals, open to feedback and review

  8. An exceptional ability to form relationships with staff, residents, and their families to grow resident satisfaction and occupancy and cater to resident needs

  9. Works closely with all departments

  10. Possesses an inherent desire to help others and make a difference in the lives of the people they encounter every day

  11. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or needed for business continuity


Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
At least 1 year experience of customer service or administrative duties. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business instructions, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to interpret reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.


Math Ability:
Basic Math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, Email and Online Software experience.  Must be able to quickly adapt to new online, web-based programs used in the day-to-day operations.

Work Environment:
The individual in this role will work in an office environment most of the time and regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this role. The individual will also frequently be required to walk and stand throughout the residential community, greeting and speaking with residents, employees, and vendors daily.
