Product Safety Engineer
FTE Direct Hire Role (Will Sponsor H1B)
New Jersey Area
How you will make an impact:
The Product Safety Engineer is responsible for obtaining safety agency approvals on new designs of Switching Mode Power Supplies and maintaining approvals on existing products. In addition, the Product Safety Engineer shall maintain the ISO 17025 certifications and participate in internal/external audits and follow-up activities, and effectively communicate results.
What you'll do:- Participate in new product development activities
- Represent Safety Engineering in project meetings in order to provide status reports
- Participate of the quoting process for new products to ensure approval cost and schedule commitment is accurate
- Ensure agency approvals are obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Perform evaluation and testing per UL’s Client Test Data Program (DAP & SMT)
- Responsible for maintenance of certification reports, technical files, and CE declarations
What You Bring to the Role:- BA/BS preferred in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance engineering
How You Will Stand Out:- ISO 17025 experience
- IEC 62368-1 (ITE) experience
- IEC 61010-1 (Process Control/Lab use) experience
- IEC 60601-1 (Medical) experience
Pay Range:
$80,000 to 95,000 Annually
