Historic Preservation Analyst
Remote anywhere within the country
@Orchard LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced Historic Preservation Analyst to support a contract for a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sectors. The period of performance is 12 months with 4 optional years on the contract. The position is fully remote, requiring some travel as the need arises.
Responsibilities:- Historic Preservation document reviews for projects and grant submissions.
- Perform desktop / online resource reviews of real property actions (ORP actions – leases, easements, licenses, property acquisition, and disposal).
- Stakeholder engagement support (S106/NAGPRA) and supplemental information development.
- Section 106 documentation management past and present.
- NHPA Compliance documentation package development for projects, grant submissions, and NAGPRA regulatory documents.
- Manage and track project design reviews, and project mitigation requirements, and develop annual reports.
- Perform Capital Asset Inventory (CAI) Quality Control Review and Updates.
- GIS analyst-level support in developing project-level mapping of existing data.
Skills/Experience Required- Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Each individual will have 7 or more years of related experience in their field of either Environmental, Sustainability, or Historic Preservation working with construction or real property projects/actions.
- Experience shall include projects in the VA, government, and private sectors.
- Experience shall include projects nationwide.
- Ability to work independently, with general direction and a minimum of supervision.
