Become a key player as a Legal Contracts Negotiator:
Workday’s Global Procurement Organization is seeking a high-performing contracts mananger who will communicate openly and forge close working relationships throughout our company and with vendors.  Strong understanding of contractual terms and business processes. Excellent customer service, drafting, negotiation, organizational, communication, prioritization and time management skills.  We seek a confident and proactive self-starter with 4+ years of experience drafting and negotiating vendor contracts, who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and who enjoys working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.  Data privacy experience a plus. We seek a thought leader, who can use his or her exceptional judgment and strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills to closely support our internal clients throughout the organization while balancing risks to protect Workday.

 

Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team: 

  • Draft, review, negotiate and oversee inbound transactional matters for Workday
  • Analyze and interpret complex provisions in multi-party contracts to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Proactively deliver timely, pragmatic, and business-oriented advice to Workday’s various internal clients and stakeholders (serve as a partner of Sourcing in support of the business)
  • Work with internal operations teams to build scalable infrastructure for supporting rapidly growing domestic and international teams
  • Collaborate with procurement organization regarding improved ways to facilitate high volume transactions for clients
  • Serve as trusted and confident counsel to specified Workday business units to support commercial initiatives and internal compliance

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • JD Degree preferred
  • MS Office
  • Strong communication and influence skills
  • Team player who can work well with Workday colleagues in technology, legal, finance, marketing, human resources and other functions
  • Demonstrated willingness to identify and act on ways he or she may assist others to accomplish corporate goals
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for solving problems and adding value to the company with integrity
  • Committed to his or her personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with action
  • Open and honest in communications with all stakeholders – legal colleagues, management, internal business clients, auditors, regulators and others
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools preferred
Pay Range:
$70-80/hour
