Soho Experiential, an 18-year-old independent marketing agency based in New York City, is seeking a CFO to provide strategic leadership and direction that will help guide the agency through its next level of growth. 
The CFO will be responsible for providing strategic direction in matters of finance and asset management. They will lead a capable team to perform needed financial and operational functions and work with partners to create and implement a roadmap for sustained growth of the Soho agency. This key role sits on the Executive team and reports into the company President.

Working closely with the President, you will perform the following:
Financial Management 
· Solidify the capability of the Finance Department by ensuring continual improvement of the team and departmental processes while providing a consistent, high degree of professional aptitude: 
· Build optimal resource plan for the department and the agency 
· Evaluate and mentor team members for professional growth 
· Plan, develop, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s finance functions: 
· Develop and manage budgets 
· Financial forecasting   
· Profitability analysis 
· Cash flow planning  
· Create an annual financial plan and own agency profitability targets 
· Develop and implement appropriate KPIs to measure business performance and progress against its strategic initiatives 
 
Corporate Strategy & Development 
· Offer long-term strategic vision for sustained company growth and advise on the impact of long-range planning, programs, and investment 
· Evaluate and advise regarding potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers; participating either as the lead or a team member 
· Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline as well as other managers within the business 
· Uphold strategic critical thinking and analysis 
 
 
Corporate Governance 
· Negotiate, secure, and manage insurance policies, leases, and other contracts as necessary 
· Implement appropriate risk management strategies  
· Ensure compliance in all financial reporting, taxes, and filings.  
· Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with external service providers - accounting, tax, auditor, insurance, banks, and others. 
· Set and implement financial policies for the agency 
 
Operations 
· Enhance and/or develops, implements, and enforces policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems which will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the enterprise 
· Ensure integrity and effectiveness of Information Technology function and data warehousing 
· Work closely with head of HR to develop HR financial planning tools, manage PEO relationship and assist in the management of benefit plans 
 
Position Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in finance required, Master’s preferred 
· A minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience with demonstrable track record of professional growth 
· Forward-thinking and creative, with strategic vision coupled with technical skills, analytical abilities, good judgment as well as high ethical standards and strong professional image 
· Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills with the ability to interface with all levels both within and outside the organization 
· Proven negotiation and contract interpretation skills 
· Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and administration, financial analysis, strategic planning 
· Experience leading a financial team within the agency to oversee daily financial functions such as payroll, AP, AR, and client budget reconciliations 
· Defined knowledge of service industry, adept at building financial plans around billable hours business model 
· Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite, expense management systems such as Nexonia, and organizational management tools such as Monday.com  
· Experience working with/leading a marketing/advertising agency a plus 
· Experience overseeing company operations a plus 
 
 
Pay Range
$190,000.00   Annually to $210,000.00   Annually
