@Orchard LLC, is a subcontractor to the VA, assisting with contract roles within the hospital system. We have an urgent need for Board Certified Interventional Radiologists to support the VA’s hospital facilities in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a team of Radiologists to provide on-call support to the hospital, including support “after-hours” or in the case of coverage for resources on leave.

About the role
We are seeking four (4) dedicated and skilled American College of Radiology (ACR)-Certified Interventional Radiologists (IR) to provide interventional radiology physician services to the Joseph M. Cleland Atlanta VA Health Care System. The IR physician(s) will adhere to the status "as needed" to provide on-call, after-hours, and leave coverage. The IR physicians will provide after-hours and on-call coverage for the Atlanta VA Medical Center (AVAMC), as well as clinic coverage during normal operating hours on an as-needed basis in the event any full-time AVAMC IR physicians call out or take vacation/leave. The physician(s) will provide the following interventional radiologist procedures, including, but not limited to:- Angiography
- Cryoblation
- Balloon angioplasty/stent placement
- Line insertion Chemoembolization
- IVC filters
- Cholecystostomy
- Vertebroplasty / Kyphoplasty
- Drain insertions
- Nephrostomy placement
- Embolization
- Radiologically inserted gastrostomy
- Thrombolysis
- Dialysis access & related interventions
- Biopsy
- TIPS placement
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Biliary intervention
- Endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins
- Strong clinical skills with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for educating and counseling patients and their families.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and maintaining accurate patient documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Dedication to continuous improvement and participation in quality improvement activities
- Required: MD or DO or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine from a school approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Must be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
- Licensure: Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Must be Board Certified by the American College of Radiology (ACR) with a secondary board certification in Interventional Radiology.
