Emergency Department Technician: Full Time- 7:30 pm-8:00 am, EOW
Pay Range: $17.40- 27.84

This Full-time position consists of three 12-hour shifts a week. 7:30 PM - 8 AM, including every other weekend.
Emergency Department Technician:- General knowledge of all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and how to perform them
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and anticipate their needs
- Ability to work independently and handle a multi-task environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality relating to client issues
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment
- High school degree or GED diploma is required.
- Completion of an approved health care training program beyond high school (i.e., CNA, EMT or PCT Training Program), preferred.
- Will accept candidates who have completed a practical nursing (LPN) or registered nursing (RN) “Fundaments of Nursing” course and acute care clinical which include skills specified in the PCT regulations; or
- Foreign Nursing education with proof of credentials evaluation by an organization recognized by the DC Board of Nursing, indicating equivalent education as an RN or LPN.
- Completion of an approved phlebotomy course is preferred.
- One (1) or more years hands-on experience as a Patient Care Tech, EMT or Paramedic is preferred;
Will also accept:
Minimum of one thousand (1,000) work hours within the last thirty-six (36) months as a:
(1) Navy or Air Force basic medical technician corpsman;
(2) Air Force independent duty medical technician;
(3) Army health care specialist;
(4) Emergency medical technician; or
(5) Paramedic.- Nursing Student with completion of at least one year of clinical rotation also acceptable.
- National Patient Care Technician Certification (DC approved); or
- Certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), preferred.
- At a minimum, employee must hold an active CNA License in DC
- Certification through the American Heart Associations in Basic Life Support Health Care Provider is required.
