Role Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Process Engineer to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient production processes to improve productivity and quality. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing our operations and ensuring the successful implementation of new processes and technologies.

This role reports to Nexus Circular’s Plant Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Analyze existing production processes to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to implement process improvements and resolve issues.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes and equipment.
  • Design and implement equipment modifications to improve performance and reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot process issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor and control process variables.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement technologies to streamline production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in process design and implementation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and select equipment and materials for process improvements.
  • Additional duties as required; including ongoing support and guidance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (preference will be given to those with Mechanical or Chemical engineering degrees)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing/production plant
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, including but not limited to, manufacturing, assembly, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience with process simulation software and familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Project management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing processes
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on driving operational excellence
  • Willingness to stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering

Most recently, Jodie served as the CEO of GreenMantra Technologies, a privately-held early- stage advanced recycler of waste plastics to specialty waxes. Previously, she was President of Pinova, a PE-backed manufacturer of specialty chemicals from renewable resources.

Currently, she serves on the boards of NanoXplore (TSX) and Bartek Ingredients (PE backed) and is active with The National Association of Corporate Directors and The Women Corporate Directors.

Jodie earned degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and holds an MBA in Finance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
