We are looking for a hands-on, analytical, and results-driven Operations Manager to join our Dallas Distribution Center team. This is an opportunity for an experienced distribution professional who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, developing people, solving problems, and finding better ways to get work done.

Working closely with the Director of Distribution, you will help drive operational performance across the facility by using data, establishing meaningful performance metrics, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. You'll play an important role in improving productivity, inventory accuracy, quality, safety, and overall operational efficiency.

This role directly leads our Receiving and Facilities team and oversees the distribution center's safety programs. Just as importantly, you'll work alongside other department leaders to identify opportunities, improve processes, and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement throughout the facility.

What You'll Do

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives across the distribution center.
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities to reduce waste, improve workflows, and increase productivity.
  • Establish and maintain standard work, workplace organization, and visual management practices.
  • Engage employees and managers in problem-solving and process improvement efforts.

Use Data to Drive Performance

  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across distribution operations.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and scorecards that measure productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, labor, safety, and service.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and root causes.
  • Partner with department leaders to establish targets, develop action plans, and drive measurable results.
  • Use data and analytics to support operational decisions and measure the success of improvement initiatives.

Lead Warehouse Operations & Safety

  • Directly lead and develop the Receiving and Facilities team, ensuring accurate inbound processing, inventory transactions, and facility standards.
  • Oversee daily facility organization, cleanliness, equipment coordination, and 5S practices.
  • Lead warehouse safety programs, including safety committee meetings, incident investigations, inspections, audits, monthly training, and safety drills.
  • Manage forklift and powered industrial truck training, operator evaluations, and certifications.
  • Partner with HR and distribution leadership to address safety concerns and maintain a safe working environment.

Collaborate & Develop People

  • Work with managers across the distribution center to improve performance, solve problems, and establish accountability.
  • Lead through influence and collaboration, helping other departments understand and improve their operational metrics.
  • Coach and develop direct reports while promoting a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout the facility and participate directly in operations when needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in a high-volume distribution environment, preferably with multiple customer channels and a high SKU count.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, determine root causes, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Experience developing and tracking operational KPIs, reports, dashboards, or performance scorecards.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with data visualization or business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety practices, OSHA requirements, incident investigations, and forklift/powered industrial truck training.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Experience with ERP and WMS systems.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Experience with high-volume retail distribution.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning, GTIN compliance, and warehouse technology.
  • Experience using data analytics or AI tools to improve operational performance.
  • Involvement with supply chain or operations organizations such as APICS, CSCMP, or WERC.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on position based in a distribution center environment. The role requires regular walking and standing throughout the facility, working in varying temperatures, and occasionally lifting or moving products weighing up to 50 pounds. A willingness to actively participate in warehouse operations when needed is essential.
