Inova Health System is seeking a full time Medical Dosimetrist II
for our Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA!
• Performs pre-planning procedures for external beam treatment.
• Performs brachytherapy treatment plans Involved in the acquisition of pertinent patient physical construct as needed for dosimetry planning.
• Participates in the Quality Assurance of the integrity of the patients treatment chart.
Current treatment protocols include: Rapid Arc, IMRT, SRS, SBRT, 3-D conformal, conventional and 2D external beam treatments; and LDR, HDR, Microsphere & Seed Brachytherapy.

Requirements for the Medical Dosimetrist at Inova Alexandria Hospital:
- 3 years of experience in Dosimetry.
- 5 years of clinical experience in a Dosimetry position is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist.
- Candidate has maintained education requirements to be a CMD (Certified Medial Dosimetrist) in good standing.
- Attended and completed treatment planning system(s) &/or simulator/CT simulator manufacturer course(s).
Preferred Requirements for Medical Dosimetrist at Inova Alexandria Hospital:
- Experience in brachytherapy and prostate seed implants.
- Candidate has continued formal education in physics, computer science, imaging technology and administration.
- Completed computer course(s) in graphics design, and programming. Training in anatomy, experience with a 3 dimension imaging modality (e.g. CT, MRI)
