Junior Full Stack Developer

EarthLink, a leading provider of secure Internet services based in Atlanta, is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to roll-out new features and enhancements to our enterprise applications.   This Developer will become an integral part of our application development team.

This position is a hands-on development position where you will be working in an Agile environment and rolling out new features and enhancements to our enterprise applications. The ideal developer will have some level of experience developing web applications and be passionate about working with new technologies.

You will be working with a number of integrated and technically complex systems and doing full-stack development with Postgres, VueJS, NodeJS, Docker, Kubernetes.

You will have the opportunity to do full life cycle development, including interacting with business analysts and developers on design specifications for new application enhancements.  This is an opportunity to learn and work with cutting edge open source technologies!

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years as a Full stack developer with experience client-side JavaScript frameworks (preferably VueJS or AngularJS), NodeJS, NPM, serverside dev frameworks (ExpressJS, Restify)
• Experience designing, implementing and using RESTful Web Services with Service-Oriented Architecture
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML & CSS, jQuery, VueJS, ReactJS, AngularJS, or other client-side JavaScript frameworks
• Solid grasp of web and backend application development
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Experience using version control (git)
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong teamwork and customer support focus
• Strong collaboration and customer support focus
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and solving skills; technical agility
• Knowledge of Relational database (Postgres/ Oracle / MySQL)
• Experience with unit and automation testing (Jest, Jasmine, Protractor, JUnit) is a plus
• Understand and promote Unit Testing, and Code Quality

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with API framework
• Experience in UNIX or Linux
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Knowledge of Cloud environment (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design concepts and microservices
• Knowledge of OpenAPI standard
• Experience creating responsive designs (Bootstrap, mobile, etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript build tools and dependency management (npm, bower, grunt, gulp)
• Knowledge of Security principles (Encryption, Authentication/Authorization, etc.)

Education:  Minimum HS or GED + 2-year degree or equivalent in information technology, computer science or related field.  Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
