Project Manager - Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS)

This individual must possess strong communication and facilitation, business analysis, documentation, project management skillsets, and have proven success in continuous process improvement.  The PM will have experience leading the project to successfully upgrade the organizations ERP system.

Responsibilities 

  • Serving as the primary Project Manager for Oracle EBS upgrade from version 12.1.3 to version 12.2.9 and the roll-out of a new reporting tool and CAFR reporting solution. This includes coordinating work with the external integration firm and software vendors; 
  • Liaising with and developing partnerships between staff and the end-user to ensure mutual support and effective communications throughout the project lifecycle and coordinating and tracking of the testing and the training activities; 
  • Developing project plans for all phases of the project and managing tasks and resources associated with each phase; 
  • Developing project timetables and tracking and reporting on project milestones and status to the Sponsor Committee; 
  • Managing change management;
  • Assigning tasks and providing professional mentorship and guidance to team members; 
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks; 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation; 
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes

The successful candidate will possess the following: 

  • Experience with Oracle EBS ERP software; 
  • Significant understanding of budget, accounting, accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, HR classification and other such business functions related to Finance and Human Resources; 
  • Documenting experience as a senior or mid-level manager for successful, lifecycle ERP application experience in upgrading Oracle EBS; 
  • Experience working and communicating with various levels both within and outside an organization including top management, executive sponsor committees, technical IT staff, first-level end-users; 
  • Demonstrated understanding of business concepts with the ability to present and sell complex technical solutions to senior management and to the user community at large; 
  • Experience with county government is a plus; 
  • 5-7 years’ experience as a Project Manager with medium to large scale, enterprise applications; 
  • Current PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and on-hands familiarity with current PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK V5) is a plus.
