Intermediate Interior or Architectural Designer – St. Louis

Lawrence Group’s St. Louis office is seeking an experienced Intermediate Designer with 3-5 years of diverse and versatile architectural design experience in a professional office environment to join our Retail team.  Most project work is technical, and production oriented in nature.

Responsibilities:
 

  • The team specializes in collaborating with clients to roll out their brands with services including building surveys, due diligence, code analysis, architectural construction documents, engineer coordination and permitting services.

  • Project involvement may also include space planning, finish selection, design development and detailing.

  • Some construction administration including shop drawing review and responding to RFI’s will also be part of this position.


Professional Skills/Knowledge
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution

  • 3+ years professional experience, preferably in a commercial design firm using Revit and AutoCAD

  • Excellent design, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.

  • Knowledge of general interior construction, methods & materials, details and standard building codes.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft (Office, Outlook, Excel, Word) and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) is a minimum requirement.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a strong work ethic, with the ability to juggle multiple projects deadlines.

  • Client interaction/communication balanced with production mindset.

  • Basic/entry level Project Management skills meeting project schedules & deadlines, engineer coordination, building department correspondence, issuing permit drawing sets and client interaction.


Supervisory Responsibility:
This is not a supervisory position.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with hybrid schedule capability. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands
This position requires no minimum ability to lift, bend or stand.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Hours are flexible.

Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.
