Survey Technician

Booming Jacksonville, Florida land surveying and mapping company seeks a Survey Tech to compliment its top-notch office survey staff.
Enjoy an interesting mix of office work related to FDOT projects including boundary surveys, route surveys, topographic mapping and ROW surveys.

Your education matters to this company. All non-registered survey technicians are involved with the Certified Survey Technician (CST) Program and the company provides other paid-for educational opportunities.

Your job will be to prepare maps of various surveys including Boundary, Topographic, Route and Right-of-Way surveys. You will prepare survey databases using CAICE software, process and edit field files and create two and three dimensional design files for client use. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

-Prepares boundary, topography and right-of-way control surveys and right-of-way maps.
-Maintains computer and electronic files according to company policy.
-Coordinates with Project Manager as to priority and scheduling.
-As needed, runs prints, acquires/orders plats, tax maps and other support material.
-Processes field files in Caice.
-Performs 2D and 3D editing to insure accuracy and completeness.
-Creates files for delivery to client.
-Creates new field files for data collection.
-Maintains communication with Crew Chief during field location processing and editing.
