Position Overview
We are looking for a software developer with experience in Nuclear Medicine technology that is interested in working with the research team to implement the algorithms that analyze the scanned data. The position includes developing the algorithms based on clinical research from the team and building APIs around those algorithms so they can be accessed. Developing the algorithm code involves understanding complex statistical analysis, applying numerical filtering and 3-dimensional matrix multiplication, and building these concepts into usable programming interfaces. This position is based in Ann Arbor Michigan.
Principal Responsibilities
Software Development
  • Build the core algorithms that drive our industry leading imaging product
  • Make high-impact contributions to a software development team to ship high quality, performant, secure software
  • Object-oriented analysis (OOA), object-oriented design (OOD), and object-oriented programming (OOP) applying SOLID principles and design patterns in a variety of languages
  • Design, document, and implement key APIs that enable use of the core algorithms
  • Actively participate in our SCRUM process
  • Work with a research team, development team and test team to ensure timely and thorough quality process to deliver quality software, assist with establishing and promoting best practices, standards and processes.
Qualifications Required
Education
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • BA or BS Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Medical Imaging Technology may also be relevant
Skillls, Training and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of software development experience
  • C/C++ coding and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio are required
  • C# experience is valuable
  • Experience with MATLAB and python is valuable
  • Experience in clinical imaging is ideal
  • Awareness of medical imaging domain and / or Clinical Workflow knowledge
  • Solid software development process knowledge including waterfall and scrum
  • Understanding of common information architecture and information models
  • Proficient operating knowledge of computers and computer networks
  • Proficient in Microsoft office environment including Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Ability to handle dynamic workload
  • Identifying and solving problems comes easy
  • Very well organized
  • Deadline driven
