Position Overview:

A Research Intern on the Mi team will be responsible for:

·       Supporting the preparation and dissemination of monthly program implementation and outcomes reviews for high schools participating in Mi’s AP STEM & English program.

·       Working with staff to refine the data analysis, workflow, and design of these reviews.

·       Other research and analysis tasks as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will be able to work 8-10 hours/month, ideally on one or two days, from August/September 2021 through May/June 2022. Pay is $17-$20/hour.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to create action-oriented charts, tables, and other visuals in Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Word.
  • Ability to clean data (e.g., ensure variables are coded correctly, data is not duplicated or missing, etc.).
  • Ability to calculate descriptive and bivariate statistics.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in STATA and/or Google Sites.
  • Ability to perform, explain, and interpret multiple regression analyses for continuous and categorical outcomes.
  • Experience working in a K-12 school.
