Summary:
This position is full time position which responsible for providing support on Branch’s Asset & Liability related tasks, build and maintain related models and the evaluation methodology. The analyst shall designs and maintains methodology and models to incorporate management direction and business behavior changes. The analyst shall also maintain the documentation of model methodologies, policy and procedures. Proficient in speaking and writing in Chinese/Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Familiar with liquidity management, model management, model validation and other ALM concepts
  • Maintain the cash flow projection model and methodology to enhance the quality and usefulness of model outputs used in asset and liability management
  • Maintain the economic capital evaluation and limit allocations methodology to business units
  • Enhance the Fund Transfer Pricing methodology according to the management direction
  • Manage other asset and liability management related tasks as needed
  • Maintain and improve the KPI model to for efficiency and accuracy of the KPI reporting in performance management
  • Utilize data mining techniques and programming abilities to extract useful data information for statistical analysis and reporting functions
  • Apply strong intellectual curiosity and analytical capabilities to challenging modelling problems
  • Support ongoing and future projects as and when applicable
  • Support the streamlining and automation of ad-hoc and standardized reporting functions
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • MS in Math, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field of study
  • 5-8 years of experience in data science / financial analysis
  • Asset and Liability Management experience in wholesale banking sector preferred
  • Certificate of CFA or FRM preferred
  • Bilingual preferred, Chinese and English
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Must be familiar with financial/accounting terms/bank products to conduct financial data analysis
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL
  • Proficiency in programming language preferred (especially SAS, Python, or R)
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-driven
  • Must be able to work under pressure and deliver in a timely manner
