HR Coordinator Position Summary
We are looking for a HR Coordinator who will report to the Director of Human Resources and be responsible for supporting the Human Resources needs of the Organization in creating an environment where all staff can thrive. In this role, you will undertake a variety of human resources operational and administrative duties and act as the first point of contact for designated HR-related operational and administrative inquiries. This role will suit someone with generalist HR knowledge as well as strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail. The HR Coordinator will ensure the smooth running of HR systems, administration and operations. Mass Insight operates in a paperless environment, and nearly all of our systems are cloud-based.  Please note that our entire staff currently work remotely from home with the flexibility to work and meet as teams in the Boston office.

A successful HR Coordinator is able to do the following within the first twelve months:
  • Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding activities for new and departing employees- Assisting with new hire agendas, tracking new hire tasks and policy acknowledgements
  • Coordinate, track, and collect all new hire paperwork; ensure compliance with pre-hire requirements 
  • Assist with posting of job openings, collection of submitted resumes, correspondence to/from candidates, and coordination of interviews.
  • Assist with HR procedures and policy creation and execution
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas and coordinate training sessions
  • Support full-cycle recruitment process
  • Assist with administering the annual performance review process
  • Manage employee status changes and requests
  • Maintain employment files; respond to employment verifications
  • Coordinate new hire data entry into appropriate systems
  • Initiate background checks
Qualifications
Top candidates for this role must have:
  • Effective administration skills and a general understanding of HR functions
  • An ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally within the HR team and other departments across the company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, and keen attention to detail

Preferred candidates will have:
  • 2 years of experience related work experience. 
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Experience and/or course work in human resources  
  • Desire to learn and grow in the field of HR
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (cloud-based recruiting system)
