POSITION SUMMARY:
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) is searching for a Part-Time Day Porter – (Weekends 9:30am-6:00pm) for the GCRC to join our team. As a Day Porter, you will perform routine maintenance activities for a multi-use building including cleaning, sanitizing and beautifying. This position works Saturdays and Sundays, during business hours, to assist the warehouse and recycling areas, outlet store, ecommerce and supply areas. In addition, this position will be back up for current Monday-Friday staff, if applicable
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors.
- Dust, clean, and polish fixtures and furniture.
- Gather and empty trash - replace trash liners as needed - wipe down trash receptacle as needed.
- Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities.
- Clean windows, mirrors, door-handles, switch-plates, and partitions.
- Assure custodial closets are clean, orderly, stocked, and equipment works properly.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Notify manager of any need of repairs, damage, or additional needs.
- This position will be back up for current Monday-Friday staff, if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- 1 year of experience working in cleaning or related experience preferred.
- Ability to read and mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT/WORK CONDITIONS:
- Ability to regularly bend, walk, lift and/or carry objects up to 25 pounds.
- Able to operate custodial equipment.
