AP Science Senior Content Director Position Summary
Mass Insight seeks a full-time AP Biology Content Director to join our AP team. The AP Biology Content Director  will report to the AP Senior Content Director of Science and should expect regular travel to Mass Insight schools/districts and national client sites.
The primary focus of this position will be to oversee high quality implementation of Mass Insight’s AP Biology programmatic offerings; increase the number and diversity of high school students taking Biology courses, increasing qualifying scores in high schools, and possibly in other sites where Mass Insight has national engagements.

Within 12 months in the role, the AP Content Director on the Mi team will typically be able to take on the buckets of work listed below:

Project and People Management
  • Individually manage their own resources and time to deliver client-ready work 
  • Build, manage and support strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and students
  • Support the coordination, planning and delivery of an annual 2-day regional AP Science conference
  • Provide quality assurance and support to AP presenters at conferences, workshops, and Saturday Student Sessions
Client Engagement
  • Consistent outreach to high school educators and administrators to increase Science enrollment and results
  • Support the increased effectiveness of AP Biology teachers through coaching, modeling classes, curriculum alignment support, planning course of study (syllabus), and assisting in lesson planning
  • Work directly with students enrolled in AP Biology classes through tutoring, in-class visits, after school sessions, and Saturday Study Sessions
  • Build the trust of client-partners and influence and inspire action of clients over whom they have no direct authority
Business Development & Thought Leadership
  • Contribute to thought leadership by synthesizing learnings in multiple forums (internal documents, blog posts, conference attendance)
Qualifications
Top candidates for this role must have:
  • At least 5 years of teaching experience in Biology
  • Experiencing teaching AP Biology courses
  • Knowledge and expertise in teaching diverse learners​​​​​
  • A bachelor's degree in Science or related content area
  • Willingness to travel on average 1-2 x per month
  • Experience working in or with schools and/or school systems and/or the orgs that support schools (districts, state agencies, nonprofits, charter management orgs, etc.)
Preferred candidates will:
  • Possess past leadership experience and teacher training
  • Hold an advanced degree in a related field
