Essential Functions
  • Learn software products, manuals, and procedures applicable to the assignment.
  • Understand and analyze customer-furnished data (drawings, design specifications, manuals, and other text or electronic media).
  • Extract information from plant + customer-supplied data to develop requirements or implement them in the design.
  • Develop simulation models for facilities based on client requirements.
  • Organize and creatively automate tasks to improve internal delivery operations.
  • Develop test plans and procedures and identify validation criteria.
  • Test and integrate software and hardware. Support integrated testing and correct discrepancies.
  • If required, maintain software development and hardware platform environment, including associated software applications.
  • Provide documentation for all development phases as required by project.
  • Contribute to design reviews and bring follow-up action items to closure.
  • Complete all tasks within the assigned schedule and budget while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Provide periodic and accurate feedback on the status of assignments.
  • Identify and communicate problems, issues, and potential impacts that affect progress to the next level of supervision. Resolve, or seek resolution to problems from peers, senior engineers, or supervisors.
  • Follow standards and procedures identified for assignment.
  • Organize all information and documents relevant to the assignment.
  • Maintain a positive work attitude, a high level of communication, and cordial relations that foster teamwork.

  • Ability to lead multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Basic working knowledge and ability to use tools for scheduling, projecting, tracking, and managing time and dollars spent on projects.
  • Ability to work as part of a team & mentor, coach & lead engineers.
  • Must have strong knowledge of engineering services in the nuclear industry.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Interpersonal Skills – team player who can interface effectively with different levels of the organization internally and with clients.
  • Must have strong knowledge of engineering services, especially nuclear.
  • Ability to initiate and prepare staffing and revenue forecasts and project budgets.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and lead a group of engineers and support personnel. 
  • Must be capable of obtaining unescorted access at nuclear plants and other facilities.

Education & Experience:
  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering and 0-5 years of experience
  • Demonstrated programming abilities (e.g., FORTRAN, C, Python, MATLAB, or VB)
  • Experience using and customizing engineering software tools.
