Compensation Range: $50K-$60K – Direct Hire
Full description
IT Administrators are the first line of help when employees encounter problems or defects with products and programs. They answer telephone inquiries, respond to emails and perform in-person support sessions. IT Administrators need a combination of technical and interpersonal attributes. Good judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to help others are integral qualities.
Essential Functions:- Diagnose and support computer hardware, network systems, computer software programs, and telephony issues accurately and quickly
- Use good judgment to assist the customer immediately or whether to escalate the issue to an appropriate colleague
- Work with and handle tickets and requests professionally, promptly, and accurately
- Monitor, diagnose, repair, and run preventative maintenance on computers
- Walk customers through problems, train them to install software packages and respond to questions about network systems
- Handle printing queries, hardware questions and report “bugs” users find in software programs Job
Qualifications- College degree in Computer Science, Networks Systems, or Computer Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
- Relevant IT certifications preferred
- Good judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to help others are integral qualities
- Basic knowledge of the following: OS install and troubleshooting; active directory; Office 365; Computer hardware, printers, scanners, computer peripherals; and mobile devices
- Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Grace under pressure and a patient attitude to deal with a variety of situations and personalities
- The ability to work irregular hours (including weekends,) listens attentively, speak calmly and document user problems comprehensively are critical traits
- The ability to explain diverse technical topics in easy-to-understand language
- A broad skill set to help end users with complex software and hardware applications
