Position Summary:
This Program Manager position will be primarily engaged in the system development of the automotive multimedia product and its related connected services. The main responsibility will be to provide PM support to internal and external customers along the development management effort. This position is expected to support management of multimedia product development as well as coordination with the other function development team for throughout the development lifecycle, including but not limited to, system spec review, system integration, and various testing. It is also expected to make contributions to our client’s benefit through various activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and support specification development and release of the multimedia and connected service function specifications.
- Support management of product evaluation in accordance with evaluation plan and generate evaluation report.
- Coordinate with related internal and external teams to finalize the specifications to be released.
- Support performance improvements as well as usability improvements of multimedia and telematics services.
- Support the development team for the entire life cycle of product development. (i.e., Planning, Benchmark, Specification development, Testing, Schedule tracking, Milestone audit).
- Manage development schedule, scope, and deliverable quality with the SET and function team members
- Take meeting notes and make official publication of the meeting minutes
- Support creation of program status report and presentation to internal and external management
- Support continuous improvement and process standardization during the development and evaluation phase.
- Report program activities and key highlights to the back office
Basic Qualifications:- English/Japanese native level communication skills in verbal and written.
- 0.5 - 5 years of experience in Vehicle Electronic Components Development
- Ability to document ES (Engineering Specification), Evaluation Specification
- Experience with development models (Agile, SDLC, Open source, others)
- Knowledge of suite of technology platforms used for in-vehicle electronic components (Linux, Java, HTML, TCP/IP, Security, Audio/Video, SoC, Bluetooth, BLE, Wifi, LTE, CAN, etc.)
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis, triage, and documentation.
- MS office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Extensive working experience in automotive field focused on telematics services and products
- Experience with environment bring up of evaluation board for various SoCs (Qualcomm, Renesas, TI, etc.)
- Strong understanding and experience with OS (Linux, QNX), APIs, and web applications.
- Strong understanding and or experience with programing in C, C++, Java, Python, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, Swift, Android, Cocoa Touch • Certifications (One or more): PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma, ACP, APMG, DSDM, CSM
- Successful product development and deployment experience.
