POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The IT Ops Engineer will maintain and respond to operations needs by responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, replacing, repairing, programming, creating preventative maintenance of IT equipment (Hardware and Software), maintaining equipment, and being responsible for upgrades and installations. Supports Innovation, Speed, and Reliability, Modernizing IT Ops.
OVERVIEW: KEY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and improves daily operational systems, consisting of main databases, using the newest software platforms, such as but not limited to Python. Including the User interface and backend, as well as the configuration of I/O peripherals. Analyzes OEM customer requirements, and internal procedures, to automate processing. Improves/maintains existing systems.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and maintain software solutions/applications to fulfill Warehouse Operations improvements
- Improve/Maintain existing systems. Complete computer and peripheral hardware maintenance.
- Replace obsolete systems and Operations software as needed.
- Research hardware solutions/compatibility with enterprise systems for IT Ops needs.
- Work closely with related departments and manufacturing plants to ensure applications are meeting their expectations. Resolve production support issues.
- Supports Kaizen/Improvement activities as well as cost reduction activities.
- Regular report out progress to management. Provide status of projects and issues to management
- Work with third-party vendors to improve application performance by tuning the applications per the directions.
- Develop documentation for applications developed and support training of related staff
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions for new projects.
- Willingness to learn new programming techniques, languages, platforms, and technologies
- Willingness to learn to use equipment and machinery (such as scissor-lift)
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Troubleshoot VPN, Network Protocols, and Services.
- Manage Active Directory and Windows Server.
- Configure and troubleshoot programs such as Oracle EBS, Microsoft Office, and Java (JRE).
- Manage and troubleshoot access to resources including files and folders.
- Maintain Servers
- Answer Help Desk
- Backup all servers using BackupExec or a similar tool
- Ensure services (e.g., IIS) and applications (.net) are running on servers correctly.
- Install and/or push desktop software, updates, and patches.
- Maintain Phone Server including VoIP handsets.
- Ability to troubleshoot remotely using VNC/TeamViewer.

EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer & Information Science or Related Field Preferred
(Computer Programming, Information Technology, Technology Management, etc.)
SKILLS, ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE- Programming experience with Python, C#, VB (Visual Basic), Web-based, SQL
- Peripherals such as:
- Zebra Label printing
- Handheld scanners
- Tablets
- Etc.
- Skills in creating incident reports to determine root causes for application downtimes.
- Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish).
