Description

Easterly is seeking an Operations and Compliance Analyst to work closely across several verticals within the organization to provide operational and compliance project management support to its staff. The candidate will primarily report to the Corporate Operations team but will have cross functionality with the Asset Management and Sustainability teams. The candidate will take on a variety of projects and recurring tasks that will improve the way the Company manages and utilizes data and information to streamline operational performance. Additionally, the candidate will lead efforts to harness the Company’s systems and underlying data to ensure the Company is fulfilling its various requirements as an employer and federal contractor.

The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter with a high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The candidate must be comfortable with immediately taking ownership of tasks and contributing ideas for how to best structure work projects. The candidate must be capable of executing on projects and tasks with minimal oversight. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as an ability to work well with different people.

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Assist multiple departments with the formation and implementation of various tracking and reporting processes
  • Hold multiple departments accountable for delivering pre-established requirements on time
  • Conduct periodic analyses of various processes and suggest changes, if needed
  • Work with the Head of Asset Management and other Asset Management staff to design and maintain an improved Small Business Subcontracting Reporting standard, and assist with various ad hoc requests related to the administration of the Company’s property portfolio
  • Work with the Director of Sustainability to assist with the Company’s standardization and reporting of certain portfolio-related environmental measures and standards and ensure proper reporting of key metrics
  • Work with Operations staff to maintain reporting and tracking of certain identified standards to help ensure the Company’s ongoing compliance as an employer and federal contractor
  • Analyze and identify possible improvements and provide additional operational support as needed


Qualifications
 
  • Minimum 2 years’ applicable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with a tenacity toward meeting deadlines, a strong sense of urgency and good self-management discipline
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgement
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented setting and respond well to constructive criticism
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with a high attention to detail
  • Strong ethical character and a sense of humor
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with maintaining databases for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Prior knowledge of commercial real estate desired but not required
