ABOUT THE POSITION
The CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) System Administrator has the primary responsibility of working with Astec Industries Product Management Teams to build product configurators allowing pricing and quoting of products to customers and dealers. The CPQ Admin will work with the relevant product managers to understand the relationships between options to properly setup the configurations and rules within the CPQ tool.  CPQ Admin will ensure that proper pricing models, discount structures and quote templates are functioning properly and make updates and adjustments as necessary.  Configurations, pricing models and quote templates will all exist and be built out in Oracle CPQ.

Key Deliverables
  • Up to date and functional product configurator interface for sales team to use in quoting equipment
  • Professional quote templates that communicate clearly to the customer
  • Accurate pricing models attached to options list
  • Configurations that tie to engineering item structures accurately to ensure proper build of equipment
  • Configuration rules in place that eliminate improper or inaccurate quotes

Key Activities & Responsibilities
  • Design, build and implement product configurations within Oracle CPQ
  • Establish pricing models and ensure proper connections with configurator
  • Create configuration rules and ensure proper functionality in Oracle CPQ
  • Develop and maintain product quote templates for sales team
  • Update and maintain configurations and connections with pricing models as products are added and modified
  • Conduct training sessions to system users as needed

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
  • Experience working in a database preferred
  • Understanding and experience working in an ERP preferred
  • System administration experience preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of Bills of Materials and drawings.
  • Experience within manufacturing sales.
  • Understanding of Oracle CPQ or similar business system preferred
  • Ability to understand and communicate business processes
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills amongst key stakeholders.
  • Skilled in preparing and delivering documentation such as business process flows and training guides for consumption by all stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret and communicate data from spreadsheet and other systems.
  • Ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, and produce consistent high-quality work.
  • Able to speak proficiently with both IT and business audiences as it relates to project deliverables.
