Become a key player as a Export Coordinator:
This role acts as the intermediary connecting customers with the company, ensuring a proactive and streamlined customer service experience and overseeing deliveries from receipt to customer receipt. The position involves managing order processing, storage, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders such as freight forwarders, trans loaders, sales, shipping, and production for effective operations.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact on the team:
1. Logistics and Customer Service:
  • Proactively manage and process export orders, from quoting prices to filing documentation
  • Arrange and oversee the transportation of goods, coordinating with freight forwarders and foreign warehouses
  • Ensure compliance with export, customs, and foreign trade laws, as well as federal transport regulations
  • Provide sales and marketing support, including lead follow-up
  • Monitor payment status of invoices and update Past Due Report
  • Manage communication channels among suppliers, shippers, sales, marketing, and customers
2. Documentation:
  • Audit and maintain export sales files
  • Prepare shipping-related documents for international shipments
  • Maintain export warehouse and consignment book, including order tracking and placement
  • Keep container shipping line records in compliance with contracts
  • Enter and follow up on approved sample requests
  • Coordinate fiscal year-end inventory counts at international warehouses
  • Review Letters of Credit, working with banks for collection
  • Verify accuracy of export documents before submission to accounts payable
3. Additional Duties:
  • Cross-train with support staff in sales and administration for additional assistance
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and direct them accordingly
  • Serve as primary backup for all Export Sales Coordinators and secondary backup for Domestic Coordinators
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
  • High school diploma or GED with 3-5 years of export experience and knowledge of incoterms
  • Proficient in basic mathematics, including percentage calculations and metric to imperial conversions
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting documents, such as letters of credit
  • Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective communication skills for presenting information to customers and colleagues
  • Proficient in Windows Office Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and order entry systems
  • Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions
  • Problem-solving skills in dealing with situations involving multiple variables in standardized settings
  • The candidate must be able to physically operate a computer and telephone, occasionally walk, stoop, or crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds to successfully perform the essential job functions; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

$58,000 - $62,000 annually (plus guaranteed quarterly bonus)
