Astris AI, a Lockheed Martin company, is bringing defense-grade AI to commercial and government enterprises through the Astris AI Factory: a unified platform for secure Generative AI and MLOps. Our solutions enable customers to deploy, scale, and govern AI across critical missions and high-assurance industries.

We are seeking an Account Executive to be part of our founding sales team. This role goes beyond quota attainment—you’ll shape our go-to-market motion, build strategic relationships, and open new markets where AI can deliver transformational impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Drive New Revenue – Acquire new customers and achieve annual revenue targets through net-new logo growth and expansion within strategic accounts.
  • Develop Account Strategies – Build and execute account plans that align customer priorities with Astris AI’s platform capabilities.
  • Customer Engagement – Build long-lasting relationships with executives, program managers, and technical decision-makers across defense, aerospace, and commercial sectors.
  • Opportunity Qualification – Identify, prioritize, and pursue opportunities across government and enterprise customers, navigating complex procurement processes.
  • Proposal Leadership – Lead capture and proposal development, working cross-functionally with technical teams, pricing, and contracting to deliver winning bids.
  • Solution Storytelling – Deliver compelling presentations and executive briefings that link Astris AI Factory capabilities to real-world business and mission outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner closely with sales engineering, product, and delivery teams to ensure successful capture, pilots, and deployments.
  • Market Intelligence – Provide customer and competitive insights that directly shape Astris AI’s GTM strategy and product roadmap.
  • Industry Presence – Represent Astris AI at customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences, reinforcing our leadership in secure, scalable AI adoption.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Enterprise Sales Experience – 7+ years in business development, account management, or enterprise technology sales with a proven track record of quota attainment.
  • AI/ML Familiarity – Exposure to selling AI/ML solutions (Generative AI, computer vision, NLP, data platforms) or complex enterprise technology.
  • Government & Commercial Acumen – Understanding of procurement processes, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR/DFARS) for government and RFP/RFI processes for commercial.
  • Communication Skills – Exceptional ability to present, write, and engage across both executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic Execution – Demonstrated ability to qualify opportunities, develop capture strategies, and execute multi-step pursuits in complex sales environments.
  • Travel – Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings, off-sites, and industry events.
  • Mission-Driven – Passionate about applying AI to critical national defense challenges and high-assurance commercial use cases.

Desired Skills

  • Industry Relationships – Existing connections across the Defense Industrial Base, particularly in program and technology offices.
  • AI Expertise – Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, architectures, and emerging trends to shape customer conversations and uncover opportunities.
  • Advanced Education – MBA or Master’s in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Capture Experience – Proven experience handling complex RFP responses, contract negotiations, and multi-party proposals.
  • Strategic Thinking – Ability to identify whitespace opportunities and develop creative solutions that align with mission and business outcomes.
  • Collaborative Mindset – Comfortable operating in a startup environment, building cross-functional alignment, and coaching others as the team expands.

  • Remote Work – Full-time remote role; up to 25% travel for customer meetings, team off-sites, and industry events.
