Staff Accountant | $65k-$75k | Direct Hire | Marlton, NJ | On-Site | Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Staff Accountant to support the financial operations of a dynamic restaurant group, which includes a high-volume venue located inside a casino. This role is responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality or restaurant accounting, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, environment.

A Day in the Life of a Staff Accountant 

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for multiple restaurant locations, including  a casino-based restaurant
• Process and record daily sales, cash, credit card, and gaming-related revenue reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor invoice tracking and payment scheduling.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
• Collaborate with the casino's finance team to ensure compliance with casino regulations and reporting requirements.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Monitor inventory transactions and cost of goods sold for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure filing is complete and up to date.

​​​​Requirements for the Staff Accountant position

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or gaming industry.
• Knowledge of casino operations and related financial compliance (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of POS Systems (Foodtec, Toast & InfoGenesis)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
