Pay Grade: 21.68-34.69 (Actual offer rates are based upon the applicants relevant job experience and the requirements of the position)

The Cardiac Cath Lab Services Coordinator will:- Perform insurance authorization, if needed, schedule appointments and procedures. Coordinate cardiovascular appointments with clinical pre-procedural activities.
- Coordinate schedule while also assessing time and equipment availability; identifying conflicts and adjusts schedule as needed. Maintains schedule based on physicians’, anesthesia’s and staffing availability
- Report observed or suspected violations, missing insurance authorizations, hazards, and noncompliance according to HUH policies. Observes safety measures in performance of job duties and responsibilities.
- Facilitate the daily completion of the Cath Lab schedule. Prepares appointment and Cardiovascular schedule for supervisor’s review. Distribute schedule to designated areas. Notify designated personnel of schedule changes
- Support and perform duties according to approved policies and procedures. Supports risk management and participates in programs directed to patient and staff safety
- Contribute to the quality management process by identifying potential process changes to improve patient outcomes and streamline process. Consider patient rights in performance of job duties and responsibilities
- Respond to emergency situations with competence and composure
- Document information received from patients while ensuring HIPAA regulations and security are maintained at all times. Shares patient information with only the appropriate people and departments.
- Accurately assess and interpret age-specific patient data. Consider age-specific patient requirements when responding to emergency situations.
Qualified Candidates will possess:
- High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors of Science preferred
- 2+ years of hospital registration experience required
- Experience with Soarian scheduling and procedural insurance authorization process required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certificate required.
