Position Summary: 

This position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of general accounting activities with a focus on accurate financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end close support. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. 3 Days per week in St. Paul, MN Headquarters

 

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and prepare depreciation schedules.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial data, account balances, or reporting discrepancies.
  • Participate in financial audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations as requested.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing best practices in accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and timely flow of information.
  • Support the leadership with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA.
  • Completes assigned compliance training and other educational programs as required.
  • Maintains compliance with ActivStyle’s Compliance Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in general accounting or related field

 Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • 3 Days per week in St. Paul, MN Headquarters
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and/or fingers due to extensive computer use.
  • Subject to long periods of sitting and exposure to computer screen
  • Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to utilize a personal computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds as needed.
  • May be exposed to angry or irate customer

This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, Sick & Safe time for applicable states, Holiday pay. Compensation range for this role is $70,000-$80,000.
