Position Overview
The Registrar serves as the primary custodian of student records, ensuring that all enrollment, withdrawal, and transfer processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient. The Registrar will work closely with school leadership, families, and district/state agencies to maintain student data integrity and support a smooth operational flow for the school year.
Key Responsibilities
Enrollment & Records Management

Manage and process all student enrollment applications, withdrawals, and transfers in compliance with state and district regulations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including cumulative folders, transcripts, immunizations, and other required documentation.

Ensure compliance with FERPA and all applicable confidentiality requirements.
Data & Compliance

Accurately enter and update student data in the school’s student information system (SIS).

Monitor enrollment numbers and provide regular reports to school leadership.

Prepare and submit required student data reports to the state, district, and charter authorizer.
Family & Staff Communication

Serve as the first point of contact for enrollment inquiries from prospective families.

Provide clear, courteous, and timely communication to families regarding registration requirements, deadlines, and processes.

Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure student records are accurate and accessible as needed.
Operational Support

Assist with student scheduling, grade reporting, and records requests.

Support the development and improvement of enrollment and records procedures.

Contribute to the overall positive and efficient operation of the school.
Qualifications
Required
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of experience in school registration, records management, or administrative support.
Preferred

Experience in a charter school or K-12 public school setting.

Knowledge of Georgia Department of Education enrollment and reporting requirements.
