📍 Delaware County, PA Region (Hybrid) | 💲 $75,000–$80,000/year + Benefits | 🕒 Full-Time

Overview
Seeking a strategic Director of Development to plan, organize, and execute all fundraising activities for a trauma-informed community nonprofit. This role leads grant writing, annual fund, major gifts, corporate/institutional giving, events, donor engagement, and communications (social media and quarterly newsletter). Reports to the Executive Director and partners closely with an Advisory Board/Development Committee.


Key Responsibilities

Resource & Fundraising Development

  • Build and execute short- and long-term fundraising strategy and revenue goals.
  • Grow/maintain a major donor pipeline; lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Expand institutional/corporate funding and pursue public sector opportunities.
  • Lead sponsorships and fundraising events; track revenue trends and forecast.
  • Promote impact measurement and produce required grant/funder reports.

External Relations

  • Cultivate donors/funders; communicate impact and organizational achievements.
  • Increase visibility across diverse supporter audiences (digital and in-person).

Organizational Leadership

  • Foster a culture of philanthropy across teams; serve on senior leadership.
  • Advise and prepare leadership for donor/funder engagements.

Board & Committee Relations

  • Partner with the board/Development Committee on goals and engagement.
  • Enable board giving and leverage board networks for solicitations and stewardship.
  • Provide education and resources so board members serve as effective ambassadors.

Qualifications

  • Proven success across revenue streams: foundations, corporate giving/sponsorships, annual fund, major gifts, and public sector support.
  • Strong supervisory/management experience; effective cross-functional collaborator.
  • Skilled at building a culture of philanthropy and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and public speaking.
  • Mission-aligned with serving survivors of gun violence (issue expertise a plus).

Compensation & Benefits

  • $75,000–$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Hybrid schedule (example: 3 days onsite / 2 remote), with work centered in the Delaware County, PA region.
