Administrative Assistant | Temp to Hire $30-$35/hr. | On-Site Horsham, PA

Our client, a busy financial firm in Horsham, PA is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join their team! This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. 
 
A day in the life of an Administrative Assistant

  • Prioritize workload and communicate with all professionals on work expectations
  • Plan and schedule meetings, presentations and other office related events.
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, memos, and emails. Prepare outgoing mail and packages.
  • Support professional and administrative staff with general operational tasks.
  • Maintain files, correspondence and other records.
  • Maintain control files of matters in progress.
  • Prepare PowerPoint proposals, including scanning and saving client logos, and binding them for presentation.
  • Make travel arrangements and reservations.
  • Put together marketing packets as requested by Director or Manager, printing appropriate inserts and binding, as needed.
  • Answer phones in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate persons or take detailed messages. May provide backup for the Receptionist.
  • Provide administrative support to other departments in the Firm as needed.
  • Monitor office supplies; order and restock as needed.

Requirements for the Administrative Assistant position

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years administrative experience.  
  • Possess a positive attitude, good communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Strong commitment to excellence, client service and professional growth
  • The ability to work independently and proactively, identifying issues as well as offering potential solutions
  • Strong proofreading skills and knowledge of proper use of grammar, punctuation and spelling are essential.  
  • Be a team player and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload, and communicate with all professionals on work expectations, including executing assignments of a confidential nature; maintain confidentiality.
