Career Evolutions is searching for an Accountant for an accounting firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. It's a part-time position (10-20 hours/week) paying up to $25 per hour.

You will work closely to assist multiple clients with the month-end close process by performing various general accounting and reporting responsibilities in QuickBooks. You will participate with the coordination and monitoring of account reconciliation process, perform month-end close activities, including preparation of monthly and quarterly journal entries, review journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness, respond to external auditor requests, and assist with quarter-end and year-end audit schedules. You will gather, analyze, interpret, prepare and reconcile complex financial information to support the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in multiple industries
Strong understanding of General Ledger and GAAP principles in a QuickBooks environment
Previous payroll experience working with a third party vendor such as ADP and Paychex
Detailed oriented and ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
QuickBooks Expert Certification is a plus
