EHCA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Program and certified to pass medications. Possesses a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, is responsible for the assessment, identification and provision of care to meet the healthcare needs of the residents of Erie Homes for Children & Adults, Inc. and the completion of required documentation.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) interacts with each resident in a manner, which assures respect, dignity, privacy and human rights. Must be knowledgeable of the relevant regulations of state and federal guidelines. Attends/participates in staff meetings. Maintains current knowledge of the developmentally disabled with medical comorbidities. Attends in-service training, assesses residents, based on their scope of practice. Supervises the preventative health care needs, Participates in ISPs, administers medications, performs on-call coverage duties as assigned. Implements and updates Health Care Concerns. Informs the physician and family of the medical status of residents. Accompanies the resident to specialist physician appointments as able.
Licensed Practical Nurse Job Requirements:
- Possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Must obtain successful Act 33, Act 34 and FBI Clearances.
- Valid Drivers License/personal vehicle
- Can lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Some travel is required
